Sandy Bay, Saskatchewan is a northern Saskatchewan community located along the banks of the beautiful Churchill River. Sandy Bay is about 190 km northwest of Creighton via the Hansen Lake Road and Highway 135.

Sandy Bay is split into two parts: the northern village part and the north part, which is reserve Wapaskokimaw Reserve #202. Sandy Bay has a rich Woodland Cree history and culture, where family and community relationships are very important as well respect for the land.

Sandy Bay has a health clinic, a rehabilitation centre, a restaurant, a post office, a grocery stall, and a K-12 school. Sandy Bay has a population of about 1,500, of whom about one quarter are members of the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation.
